I didn't watch the whole interview, Natalie, but OMG you are adorable! You talk like you write (and now I can "hear" your writing with the proper accent 😉) and of course I love your writing.
Your comments on the size of the States and not being able to nip up the road (or even across the street!) matched perfectly with our German visitors (I used to work for a company HQed in Bavaria, Germany; I had German coworkers and visitors) who wanted to just drive over to New York City for the afternoon because (yes, exact same finger gesture!) "it's only this far away on the map." (Or 3+ hours drive, if the traffic doesn't suck, and the traffic ALWAYS sucks in New York City! And I'm sure you've noted how awful public transportation is in this country.) So now I know it's not just the Germans. 😁
Bonus: I finally know how to pronounce your last name. I figured that "Ohio" had to be coincidental with the state name here, and proper Nigerian pronunciation was probably oh-hih-oh or OH-hih-oh or even oh-hih-OH but certainly not oh-HIGH-oh. Now I can tell that part of my brain that corrects me when I think oh-HIGH-oh to STFU. (It won't listen. It never listens. That's not how it works. Usually that's a feature, not a bug.)
